No need to pre-wash the cotton.  Instead, press it with a very hot, steamy iron

and it will draw up on it's own.  Much like you would a quilt block!  Use lots of steam!

Unlike our hand-crocheted variety of hankies, this particular style features

a gorgeous machine-made lace that is applied to the edges.  Please note that you WILL see a seam

where the two ends of lace meet.  This is perfectly natural and should be expected.
